Brussels – June 20th, 2006 - ICING Contribution to the eGovernment Fair- The ICING project made a brief presentation to other attendees to the eGovernemnt Fair organised by the European Commission. The event allowed ICING to network with others active in eGovernment research. John Donovan and Eoin Kilfeather also participated in the eParticipation and eGovernment policy parallel sessions and reported to the plenary session on these areas.

Paris – June 16th, 2006: Second Project Management/Executive Management Board meeting and all day workshop resolving technical issues associated with the specification of the test beds in each city and the service scenarios to be deployed.

Barcelona – May 29th - June 1st, 2006 - Internet Global Congress 2006 (IGC 2006) - ICING was presented in this congress that comprises a set of conferences aimed at companies that use new technologies, supply companies and technicians, and centres and institutions concerned with the development and implementation of the ICT in the Information Society.

Helsinki – May 19th, 2006 - Tools'06 symposium - The first edition of Media lab symposium offers 12 different views on tools and approaches for research, design and development of interactive media and services. Joanna Saad-Sulonen presented her paper "First steps towards designing Urban Mediator" through a 20-minute presentation.

Helsinki – May 18th, 2006 - Media Lab Demo Day - Demonstrations and presentation of some of the latest results of Media Lab's ongoing education and research projects. Icing was presented through a short 5 minutes presentation and had an exhibition spot with a trial prototype of Urban Mediator ideas.

Barcelona – April 5th, 2006 - 22@Barcelona - ICING was introduced as a cohesion instrument suited to cope with the deployment of innovative citizen services platforms and particularly well aligned with consequent cluster's strategic development.

Barcelona – March 21st, 2006 - 22@Barcelona - ICING was presented as an exemple of ICT applications with a signficant impact into the society, being also an example of an ICT cluster's promotion activity.

Helsinki – March 9th, 2006 - Arabianranta - The first meeting of the Arabianranta region work group (aluetyöryhmä) was organized by Art and Design City group (ADC). It gathered people from various local communities and associations, city administration representatives and social workers. TAIK Icing team also joined in as members of this work group and presented the Icing project.

Helsinki – March 2nd, 2006 - -Malminkartano - The Citizen Channel project team (Kansalaiskanava) organized a local workshop for active residents and community members of the Malminkartano area. TAIK Icing team gave a presentation about the Icing project.

Helsinki – January 25th, 2006 - -Arabianranta - The first meeting of Arabianranta's Art and Design City group (ADC) and the Arabianranta moderators for the year 2006. They meet every other month to discuss issues related to Arabianranta in general and more particularly to the Arabianranta portal that is maintained by ADC. The TAIK Icing team are since January 2006 invited to participate in these meetings and present their latest results.

Brussels – January 2006: Project kick-off meeting attended by all 11 partners and hosted by the Irish Ambassador to Belgium.

Finland – December 9th, 2005 - Conference in Technopolis, Oulu - ICING was introduced as a project leading to the innovation development of technology parks so bringing additional added value both to municipalities and to the citizens.
